  • Any student interested in a career in construction, the trades, fire dept, ambulance service, please see Mrs. Hill for a field trip permission slip, tomorrow is the last day. 
  • Any students in grades 8-11 that are interested in serving on Student Council next year should plan to attend this Friday's StuCo meeting at 2:30pm in the Library.
  • From April 23-May 24, there will be a Toiletry Drive. This drive will be for people who have come through the Biden Program, that are specifically living in shelters and hotels. The donation will help to provide necessities that they may not have. Donations can be dropped off in the front lobby. Any questions or concerns please contact Emmanuela Izidore

High School: 

The High School Student Council will meet tomorrow at 2:30pm in the library. All high school students are welcome to join us (and all StuCo members are required to attend)!

Juniors & Seniors: Prom tickets are on sale after school with Ms. Francisco starting Monday May 6th through May 10th only.tickets are $70-Cash or checks can be made payable to Avon Middle High School. Guest permission forms will need to be in before you purchase a ticket for any outside guest. Stop by the office or with Ms. Francisco room 209.

After School Homework Club: NO HOMEWORK CLUB TODAY

High School: Students can go to Room 235 and work with Mr. Clements or Mr. Thoreson, They will be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30-3:30

Middle School: Students can work with Ms. Martell in Room 131 on Mondays and Wednesdays and with Ms.Tyler in Room 122 on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30.  stop by and get some work done.

Detention will be held in room NO DETENTION TODAY

Aces Club: Middle School meetings are held every Tuesday and High School meetings are held every Thursday. (NO ACES CLUB TODAY)

Sports:

The Avon Panthers JV baseball team scored a season high 6 runs but fell short to rival Holbrook yesterday, 18-6. Liam Gibbon and Danny Ferro pitched well, overall.Liam also hit a monster triple while Cooper Sheehan, Amari Barros and Jaymani Martinez to the offensive onslaught.The JV Panthers hope to get back to their winning ways tomorrow as their road trip continues against Westport. First pitch is slated for 3:30 at Westport.

Music: 

  • Members of the A Band: there will be NO REHEARSAL  after school today due to the faculty meeting.
  • Come to the Band and Chorus Spring concert! The concert is on Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $5 each, and can be purchased in the main office starting today.

General Information: 

May 4th! Avon town clean up. Show up from 8:45-9:00am at the Mary McDermott room at Avon Town hall for free coffee and donuts. The clean up will be from 9-11 then you can come back afterwards for free pizza and drinks! Anyone who shows up will also be prompted to enter a raffle to win four free Red Sox tickets too! All attendance will be greatly appreciated!
